Seminar Description:
This clinical presentation will introduce a relational model to working with the continuous unconscious process of enactment and with what Aron and Atlas term Generative enactment. Through the lanes of Dramatic Dialogue Atlas will discuss cases from her next book, "Emotional Inheritance" to illustrate how patients and analysts enter each other’s inner world and discover themselves as participants within each other’s psychic life. The clinical tales will bring us into the room where analyst and patient live together a dangerous reality and a painful, often tantalizing, history. It will discuss the regulation of aggression, the intergenerational aspect of sexual abuse as well as analytic love.
